Jamestown Jams

Come jam with Party of Four at Jamestown Beach Event Park on Sept. 1 at Jamestown Jams as they perform 90s music. Concert is free and open to the public. Two Drummers Offbeat Eats will be present. The Arc of Greater Williamsburg and The Williamsburg Winery will be on hand with adult beverages. Visit our website for more information.

Busch Gardens Bier Fest

More than 200 years of Oktoberfest traditions come to life this fall at Busch Gardens Bier Fest. Raise a glass to toast the end of summer with a variety of craft beers from around the globe, including all your favorite local brews. Sample traditional German food, listen to festive music, and experience all this unique Bavarian celebration has to offer. Prost!

Patriots Triathlon Events

On Sept. 9-10, the annual Patriots Triathlon events will occur at Jamestown Beach Event Park. This includes a half, sprint and international.

Black Settlement Presentation and Book Signing at Freedom Park

Join Col. Lafayette Jones Jr., a descendant of those that lived on the Free Black Settlement at Freedom Park for a presentation and book signing. You'll experience 18th century life more than 60 years before the Emancipation Proclamation. All ages welcome. Info: 757-259-4200.

“The Tempest” at Jamestown Settlement

An adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” will be performed aboard Jamestown Settlement’s re-creations of the Susan Constant and in the colonial fort on six evenings – Sept. 14, 15 and 16, and Sept. 21, 22 and 23. The production is being presented by The Guild of the Virginia Shakespeare Festival and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, the state agency that administers Jamestown Settlement living-history museum. The performance is sponsored by the 2019 Commemoration, AMERICAN EVOLUTION™. Each performance begins at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. Each performance is limited to 150 participants. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $18 for ages 6-16, seniors age 62 and older, and groups of 15 or more. Admission is free for children under 6.

Harvest Festival & Scarecrow Stuff

Come enjoy the sights and activities at this annual event on Saturday, Sept. 16! Arts and crafts, food, games, inflatables and more! Scarecrow stuffing will be back again! Make the biggest and the best scarecrow in your neighborhood! First come, first served while supplies last. Cost of scarecrow is $20. Cash/checks only on site. Don't forget your camera!

Bacon’s Rebellion Special Event at Historic Jamestowne

Enjoy a special evening walking tour to commemorate Bacon’s Rebellion on September 16. The event will include a symbolic burning of the town site as it occurred at Historic Jamestowne in 1676 along with living history interpreters. This special event is jointly sponsored by the National Park Service and Preservation Virginia.

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens

The excitement of Howl-O-Scream returns to the World’s Most Beautiful Amusement Park on Saturday, Sept. 23 with a new maze, FrostBite, a new escape room and a new scare zone in New France. As always, Howl-O-Scream is not recommended for young children.

ShinDIG at Jamestown

Join Jamestown Rediscovery for their 6th annual fundraiser, ShinDIG at Jamestown on Thursday, Sept. 28. Guests enjoy an evening of bluegrass music, delicious barbecue, and beautiful views of the James River. The Williamsburg-based "Whoever Shows Up Band"-featuring Director of Archaeology, Bill Kelso, on banjo-takes the stage at the Dale House Café at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be $40 per person and include an all-you-can-eat barbecue dinner, with vegetarian options, by Carrot Tree Kitchens. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Fee Free Day at Colonial National Historical Park

James RiverFest

James RiverFest is on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Jamestown Beach Event Park.
