The Williamsburg Pottery was recently chosen as the recipient of the Clean Business Award for the third quarter of 2015 by the James City Clean County Commission and the Virginia Peninsula Clean Business Forum. The award was presented by Will Barnes of the James City Clean County Commission. Accepting the award on the behalf of The Pottery were Kim Maloney and Peter Kao.
The Williamsburg Pottery was selected based on their tremendous beautification improvements of one of the County’s principal corridors on Route 60 in Lightfoot. The Pottery currently recycles paper, cardboard and printer cartridges.
The event was hosted by James City County at Hot Stacks Pancake House in Lightfoot. Representatives from York County, Newport News and Hampton were also in attendance. Bryan Hill, James City County Administrator, gave a presentation on “Keeping Up Appearances with Litter Prevention.” For more information, contact the James City County Environmental Coordinator at 757-259-5375.
