The Emergency Home Repair Program provides grant assistance for housing repairs necessary to safeguard health and safety to qualified low-income individuals for unexpected and emergency repairs, as well as improvements to meet the special needs of elderly and disabled persons.
Water & Sewer Connection Payment Assistance
Our office takes applications from low- and moderate-income persons to participate in a deferred payment plan for James City Service Authority water and sewer connection fees. A majority of the families who have participated in this program have experienced failed well and septic systems and emergency home repair. Indoor plumbing funds administered by the Housing Unit have been used to finance these physical connections.
