Board of Supervisors accepting applications for Stonehouse seat on Planning Commission

 

The James City County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for the Stonehouse seat on the Planning Commission. Seven members, one from each of the five electoral districts and two at-large, are appointed for staggered four-year terms by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission is responsible for preparing land use and planning studies; preparing land development ordinances for consideration by the Board; approving subdivision applications; and advising the Board on rezoning requests and other zoning map changes. The Commission is empowered by the Code of Virginia.

 

Interested applicants are invited to download the Board/Commission/Committee application from the County’s website or visit the County Administration Office at 101-D Mounts Bay Rd. to pick up an application.
