Volunteers needed for community cleanup

Want to help with a spring cleanup? Join volunteers from James City County, the James River Association and Eco Discovery Park at the 2nd Annual James RiverFest on Saturday, April 20 from 9-11 a.m. The cleanup effort will focus on litter along roadway ditches that empty into Powhatan Creek.

Volunteers will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Eco-Discovery Park parking lot located at the Jamestown Marina, 2054 Jamestown Rd. Sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty are encouraged. All supplies will be provided. Volunteers will be recognized at the awards ceremony at noon. Pre-registration is required by contacting Amber Ellis at volunteer@jrava.org. Call 757-259-5375 for more information.
