M. Anderson “Andy” Bradshaw appointed to Powhatan seat
Mr. Andy Bradshaw, a County native and former Stonehouse representative of the Board of Supervisors, has been appointed to fill the vacant Powhatan seat on the James City County Board of Supervisors. The appointment order was issued Feb. 8 by Circuit Court Judges Richard Y. Atlee Jr., Thomas B. Hoover, R. Bruce Long and Michael E. McGinty.
Bradshaw will serve on the Board until a special election is held for the Powhatan District in November. As a former Board member, he served for six years, as an appointee in 1997 for the Stonehouse District and as an elected member in 1999 and 2004-2007. Bradshaw is an attorney in Toano since 1978 and is active in many civic and community groups including the Salvation Army, the Williamsburg Farmers Market and the County’s Board of Agriculture.
Bradshaw’s appointment is effective immediately and after qualification and swearing in, he will join the Board for the Feb. 12 Board of Supervisors 7 p.m. regular meeting in the Building F Board Room at the County Government Center, 101 Mounts Bay Rd.
