Come to the Understanding Rural – Expert Panel
Looking for an opportunity to learn more about agriculture, forestry and rural enterprises? The County and Virginia Cooperative Extension are partnering to host a panel of experts from across Virginia to cover topics such as forestry, keeping farms in production, agri-tourism and local foods. This panel will help us all get a better understanding of the state of ‘rural’ across Virginia and present ideas and options for the County’s rural areas.
Understanding Rural - Expert Panel
Wednesday, June 26
James City County Library
7770 Croaker Rd.
Light refreshments will be served
Beginning July 8, you can view a recording of Understanding Rural on the County’s YouTube channel or on a DVD that can be checked out from the James City County Library or Williamsburg Library. Watch on your own or host your HOA, club or organization for an Understanding Rural video viewing and discussion party.
After you’ve watched the expert panel, stay tuned for more information about how you can help define what ‘rural’ means to the County and provide input at two Thinking Rural discussion sessions scheduled for July. Visit jamescitycountyva.gov/planning/rural for updates.
