NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Board of Supervisors of James City County, Virginia, will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. in the County Government Center Board Room, 101-F Mounts Bay Road, James City County, Virginia to consider the following:

 

A Resolution to Reduce the Tax Rates for Specific Tangible Personal Property not used Solely for Business Purposes in the following amounts:

 

•  Boats or watercraft weighing under five tons from the current tax rate of $4.00 per $100 of assessed value to $3.50 per $100 of assessed value
• Boats or watercraft weighing five tons or more from the current tax rate of $4.00 per $100 of assessed value to $1.00 per $100 of assessed value
  
  

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing.  Persons requiring an accommodation in order to participate in the hearings should call 253-6728, County Administration, three days prior to the meeting.
