Give Transit a Chance If you’re not sure you can do the public transportation thing, start small with one a goal of taking public transportation at least one day a week until you figure out the system. Before you know it, you’ll be making friends and riding along with everyone else.

Composting Composting costs nothing and can rid you household of leaves, vegetable matter, and grass clippings. By simply following a composting plan you can let the microorganisms bacteria and worms make your fertilizer for you.

The Bucket Method Dishwashers use 7-10 gallons of water per load while hand washing takes, on average, 20 gallons. If washing bulky or delicate dishes by hand, don't let the water run while rinsing. Fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water.
