Leaves will only be accepted in clear bags no larger than lawn or leaf-size (40 gallons or less). Leaves from commercial lawn service companies will be accepted by Convenience Center staff with a letter from the resident containing the resident’s name, address and telephone number. For leaf disposal outside of the free drop-off dates, leaves may be self-hauled by using coupons available at the Treasurer’s Office, Satellite Services Office, Freedom Park, the James City County Recreation Center the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center or online. One coupon per four lawn and leaf-sized bags is required. Brush and tree limbs are not included in the free collection and will require coupons.

Through Jan. 31, James City County residents can recycle Christmas trees free of charge at any County Convenience Center during normal operating hours. The Centers are located at 117 Tewning Road, 1204 Jolly Pond Road and 185 Industrial Boulevard. All decorations and tree stands must be removed prior to recycling.
James City County residents may also drop off leaves free of charge Jan. 2-15 at the Jolly Pond Convenience Center daily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. For details on leaf drop-off, click the link.

A fun, shallow-water exercise class that uses a signature splash-board to increase movement and intensity options. Splash is suitable for all skill levels and is safe for non-swimmers. The pool provides many benefits when used for aerobic exercise and resistance training.

Suitable for all ages. Children 8+ to adults. This shallow water class focuses on improving circulation, strength, range of motion and flexibility through low impact exercise. No swim skills needed. Aqua shoes recommended and water deck-side. Parents and children welcome!
