  2. Shred-A-Thon

    July 28, 2018, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse

    Citizens are invited to bring up to 10 paper or plastic grocery bags or 5 file boxes of documents to be shredded. Computer disks, binders, laminated paper and other non-paper materials should be removed from boxes prior to the event. Staples, rubber bands and paper clips do not need to be removed. The event is set up like a drive-thru with stop and go service, volunteers will be available to assist with unloading boxes. Shredding will be done on site. Proceeds from the Shred-A-Thon will support the Department’s annual “Shop with a Cop” event and other community outreach and crime prevention programs. “Shop with a Cop” is a program assisting underprivileged children and families during the holidays in James City County.
