To request an inspection, or to access permit and application information, call 757-253-6625. You will access the James City Building Safety and Permits Division IVR system(automated response system). You must have a PIN (Personal Identification Number) and your six digit contractor number to access this system.

 

DO NOT use cell phones when calling for inspection requests. DO NOT call the inspectors to request an inspection. Your request must be put on the IVR system BEFORE 6:30 a.m. of the day you want the inspection. REMEMBER we do not guarantee specific inspection times.
