  1. Auxiliary Grants

    An auxiliary grant is an income supplement for individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and certain other aged, blind, or disabled individuals.

    Access day care supplements for families meeting requirements.

  3. Energy Assistance

    The purpose of this program is to help eligible low-income households offset expenses associated with heating and/or cooling their home.

  4. General Relief

    The General Relief Program is an optional local program designed to provide assistance to children that are living with unrelated adults.

  5. Medicaid

    There are several Medical Assistance Programs offered in Virginia. Each program covers different groups of people and each program has different eligibility requirements.

  1. Special Needs

    The Special Needs List is a list of County citizens who may need assistance at the time of a disaster.

  2. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

    A SNAP account is established for eligible households and automatic deposits are made into the account each month to pay for eligible foot items from authorized retailers.

  3. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

    The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program provides eligible families with a monthly cash payment to meet their basic needs.

  4. VA's Initiative for Employment not Welfare

    The Employment Services Program assists mandatory and voluntary TANF recipients to gain employment.
