1. Bulk Trash Pickup

    A bulk trash pickup pre-pay service is available to James City County residents for $75. Neighbors can combine materials for a single pick up. No hazardous, commercial or business waste will be accepted. All hazardous material should be taken to the County’s hazardous chemical collections, held at Warhill High School (4615 Opportunity Way), from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on the second Saturday of February, April, June, August and October.

  2. Notary Public Service

    The Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth is responsible for the commissioning of Notaries Public in Virginia, pursuant to Section 47.1-8 of the Code of Virginia. At any given time, approximately 120,000 Virginians are commissioned as a Notary Public.

    You may request records by completing a Freedom of Information Act Request Form (PDF). If you do not have access to a computer, call 757-253-6864 to request a printed form. Submit your request to our FOIA Coordinator via email, phone, fax, mail or in person.

    The Division of Vital Records and Health Statistics houses over 7 million records detailing this information for the citizens of Virginia. You can place a call with one of our Customer Service Representatives by dialing 804-662-6200.

    Water and sewer services are available in different areas of the County. Contact Customer Services at 757-253-6800 for information on these services or to establish service with James City Service Authority (JCSA). You may also complete the service request form below and send it online.
