The Fire Administration Building has received Gold certification in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program. Located at 5077 John Tyler Hwy., the 10,000 square foot facility houses Fire Administration, Fire Support Services, EMS Training, Fire Training and the Fire Marshal’s office.
LEED certified buildings have lower operating costs and reduced waste sent to landfills. They also conserve water and energy, emphasize improved indoor air quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and incorporate sustainable materials.
Guernsey-Tingle Architects and David A. Nice Builders, Inc. completed the design and renovation of this building ahead of schedule.
